Medical Assistance for Families provides health insurance for families whose income is not more than 77 percent of the federal poverty level.

How do I qualify for Medical Assistance for Families (MAF)?

You and your children (under age 19) that live with you must:

• Have (or have applied for) a Social Security Number
• Live in Missouri and plan to stay
• Be U.S. citizens or eligible legal immigrants
• Have a countable family income that isn’t above 77 percent of the federal poverty level based on your family size (see chart below).
