Sign up for Tests. Help your teen to sign up and prepare for the necessary tests to apply for college. These tests may include the SAT or ACT and are often taken in the junior year. They are administered at specific times throughout the year. If you choose a community college, you are not required to take an exam.
Fill Out Applications. Your teen will need to fill out an application to the colleges he or she is interested in.
