If school choice is available, your state will decide which alternative schools your child may attend. The state has to give you a list of at least 2 schools for you to choose from.

Unfortunately, some school districts may not be able to offer you a choice. In that case, the government requires schools to provide “supplemental education services” – which means after-school and tutoring programs.
